Until December Ceci goes back to Argentina to visit family, to get married in church, and to baptise her daughter Mia in El Paso del Durazno (Las Acequias, province of Córdoba). It had been three years since her last family visit.

On May 14th, Mia Federica Mazereel is born with a cecarian, after a successfull in vitro treatment. Mia is the firstborn in the family. Ceci's motherhood will certainly have an impact on her creative work.

Ceci displays portraits during two months in the KBC Bank Aalst (Prinsenhof).

Ceci joins the art auction organised by Dreamcatcher, in benefit of Die Sterreweg, a day centre for disabled kids in the slombs of Plettenberg Bay (South Africa). The auction has many famous Flemish celebs as godfather.

A yearly Miss election is held in the Euroregion (Wales, England, North of France and Belgium), this year organised in Ypres. Ceci sponsors this event by giving a portrait to the winner.

All summer long Ceci exhibits some portraits in the KBC Bank in Ypres.

Ceci takes part in the national exposition "Portrettering van de vrouw" in the ING Bank in Ghent, with curator the Flemish Nudes. It will display a unique collection of nude portraits and women in all their glory.

Upon invitation Ceci joins the annual prestigious BP National Portrait Gallery contest (Londen). She makes it till the final round, and is so recognized as one of the top 50 portrait paintors worldwide.
